New Construction Requires GPRS to Locate Post Tension Cables

GPRS was contacted to locate post tension cables at a newly constructed hotel in downtown Atlanta. An awning is being installed and the location of the post tension cables needed to be properly identified so that they were not hit during the installation process.

With the 1600 MHz antenna, GPRS technician Patrick Moulin was able to scan the area.  The 1600 MHz antenna will typically reach depths from 15”-20”.  A SIR-3000 computer system is what displays the data for interpretation. This project required precise and well defined markings; GPRS was able to properly locate the post tension cables and rebar.
