Concrete Scanning at Bank of America Stadium (Carolina Panthers) – Charlotte, NC

On March 4th, 2014 Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was requested on site at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC to perform a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey. The purpose of this survey was to determine the location/spacing of rebar, but also to locate pre-stressed cables before anchoring into the walls to help determine depths. The GPR scanning was completed for new LED ribbon boards that were going to be implemented around the inside of the stadium for Davis Sign Company.

We used a GSSI (Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc) Ground Penetrating Radar Unit with one specific antenna. The antenna used on this project was a 1600MHz antenna which was used to help identify the reinforcement in the wall.
