Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Denver, CO was contacted by a contractor to locate conduit and reinforcement in a concrete slab at University of Colorado Boulder. The contractor needed to core drill into a concrete slab in several areas to install new plumbing for renovations in a building. The customer needed to avoid striking any reinforcement and conduit in the slab which could possibly jeopardize the structural integrity of the concrete slab and cause costly repairs or even injury if a live conduit was struck. GPRS, Inc. arrived on site and provided digital concrete imaging (Ground Penetrating Radar) for the customer, keeping the project on schedule without repairs or injuries.

GPR is a great alternative to X-ray; as it does not require evacuation of the building because it does not emit radiation and is completely safe to be around. All data findings are marked directly on the surface at the customer’s request for the easiest interpretation of the scanning provided.
