GPR Used to Locate Conduit in Denver, CO

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of Denver, CO was contacted by Western Summit/McCarthy joint venture to locate reinforcement and conduit in a concrete slab at the Metro Wastewater Reclamation Plant in Denver, CO. The customer was wished to penetrate the slab in several areas and did not wish to strike any reinforcement or conduit. GPRS, Inc. arrived on site to provide digital concrete imaging for the customer to avoid striking anything they did not wish to hit.

GPRS used a GSSI 1600 MHz antenna and radar detection for picking up live power in the slab.  All findings were marked directly with permanent marker on the surface for easy interpretation. GPR does not require extra time to develop films as with traditional x-ray and all findings are marked in real time. Ground penetrating radar was needed for this job to keep the customer from drilling or cutting conduit or reinforcement and to easily continue with installing anything needed through slab without damaging the structural integrity of the building and damaging conduit. GPR emits no radiation so it is safe to use in an occupied building. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems Inc. main goal is to keep your job site safe and communicate in the best way possible what we are seeing from our data.

GPRS uses safe and cost effective methods to conduct ground penetrating radar investigations. If you need similar concrete imaging to locate post tension cables, rebar, underground storage tanks, plumbing or electrical conduits on your jobsite.
