Ground Penetrating Radar Systems’ Memphis, Tennessee office worked with a local general contractor to locate utilities prior to excavation at a manufacturing facility in Memphis, Tennessee. GPRS marked location and depth of the property’s electrical service lines, site lighting, water lines, and natural gas lines. The contractor also utilized a Google Earth image mapping service provided by GPRS. The Google Earth image helped the contractor plan accordingly in the preliminary stages of construction.
GPRS uses non-destructive testing equipment to locate utilities, piping, power-lines, and underground storage tanks that are unable to be seen. Using GPRS is a safe, cost effective way to make sure you can safely drill or dig and not destroy any underground utilities or determine if USTs do or do not exist on a property.
