Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Las Vegas was recently called out to Henderson, Nevada to locate post tension cables within a concrete slab. The client needed to drill holes through the slab to bring up some utilities and needed to avoid cutting the post tension cables. The technician on site was able to locate the cables and map their position directly on the surface of the concrete in a matter of minutes.
Digital concrete imaging is a quick and easy way to locate post tension cables in concrete prior to saw cutting or core drilling. The process is extremely fast due to its live feed system, which means the targets are mapped out on the surface of the concrete as they are located in real time. GPR does not emit any radiation like traditional x-ray so data can be collected on an active job site.
