Grid Pattern of Post Tension Cables Marked on Concrete Prior to Saw Cutting

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was contacted to locate post tension cables that were present in the concrete slab prior to saw cutting using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Curtis Hoag, Regional Manager in Charlotte, NC used the GSSI (Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc.) 1600 MHz antenna to locate the reinforcing steel and mark out the grid pattern for the cables on the surface of the concrete.  This enabled the customer to avoid hitting any post tension cables or other unknown subsurface anomalies prior to saw cutting for electrical lines and plumbing.
